The game was developed in Unreal Engine 5 by a team of 7 people - 5 designers and 2 artists.
My roles: UI Designer, Narrative Designer, Gameplay Programmer
I designed and implemented the game's UI, created The Mastermind's character and dialogue, implemented subtitle functionality and programmed the rotating painting and computer password puzzles.
UI Design & Implementation
I designed and implemented all menu screens and subtitle systems, including the visual presentation and functionality of the UI. (Excluding volume slider logic and team member portraits displayed in the credits screen.) I created the visual design and narrative identity of The Mastermind, including his on-screen artwork, dialogue and voice lines.

I created the visual identity, personality and dialogue of The Mastermind, a sarcastic and unsettling host, who guides players through The Trial. I recorded and processed the voice lines using a voice changer to create an eerie atmosphere, and implemented subtitle functionality in engine. Mastermind's commentary adapts to player progress, rewarding success while mocking failure and hesitation.
