I designed and implemented all gameplay systems and mechanics, UI, audio and visual effects in Unreal Engine 5. The project focuses on game feel, accessibility and creating a fun and relaxing experience through responsive controls, visual feedback and playful presentation.
Players can purchase different coloured unicorns for the carrots they collect throughout the run (10 unique unicorns to unlock).
The goal of the game is to chase the best highscore.
The project was designed around principles from Swink's Game Feel and Hicks' Juiciness Framework, using animation, particle effects, audio feedback and screen reactions to make player actions satisfying and responsive.
Visual and physical feedback including rainbow splatters, camera shake and ragdoll reactions enhance the impact of collisions.
